In January 2021, Mamadi Fara Camara was falsely accused of attempted murder on a Montreal policer officer and detained for 6 days in the municipal jail. On February 7th 2021, Defund the Police Coalition & Tout Le Hood en Parle organized a demonstration against both racial profiling by police and the media’s quick reaction to declare guilt before the verification of the evidence.
