The Airbnb Takeover of Montreal Housing

Airbnb is tempting for property owners, because it’s more profitable to collect money from nightly stays than it is to collect monthly rent.

The municipal and provincial governments have put regulations in place to limit unlicensed Airbnbs… but is it enough? Local 514 welcomes FRAPRU and Comité Logement de la Petite Patrie to analyze how Airbnb has affected long term property rentals in Montreal.
