On January 25, Montrealers protested outside MP Sameer Zuberi’s office, led by activist and NDP representative for disabled people, Avi Karp, to defend bodily autonomy and highlight threats to essential rights like abortion and medical assistance in dying. Protesters called for stronger government action to safeguard autonomy and protect susceptible communities from rising conservatism and inequality.
