Inside PAJU’s weekly solidarity for Palestine

local514 | January 29, 2026

On January 22, members of the Palestinian and Jewish Union organization (PAJU) held an awareness action at St-Michel metro in Montreal. During the gathering, members distributed educational pamphlets and spoke with commuters about Palestine. Local 514 spoke with Fred Jones, a longtime PAJU member, to understand the group’s motivations and its approach to public education. In the interview, Jones emphasized the importance of ongoing awareness, highlighting Montreal’s strong support for Palestine, and called out Canada’s continued complicity through the sale and export of weapons used in the ongoing violence in Gaza.
