Mamadou Konaté and supporters fight upcoming deportation date

Mamadou Konaté gathered with friends and supporters last week to call for a halt to his upcoming CBSA deportation date to Côte d’Ivoire on September 30. The Montreal resident has been trying to claim asylum in Canada for almost 7 years, while working in healthcare amongst peak COVID-19 pandemic risks and fighting against a national and provincial setting of stringent immigration policies.
