CUTV abides by the following principles in all of its coverage:
- Accuracy: we strive to source information from reliable sources, fact-check, and contextualize information that could be misleading. As often as possible, we practice transparency about our sources, especially in controversial stories, to build trust and ensure accountability.
- Transparency: objectivity and impartiality are in large part used to hide, but we aim to be transparent about our political perspective while making a good faith effort to present a variety of perspectives while accounting for the biases of the larger media context.
- Sensitivity: When covering vulnerable people or those experiencing oppression, we take additional steps to protect privacy, uphold dignity of those affected by subjects we cover, and avoiding causing unnecessary distress or harm.
We take all complaints seriously. If factual errors are identified, we will issue corrections and, as possible, edit videos to make them as accurate as possible.
