Red Dress Day: Hundreds call for action on MMIWG2ST+

Hundreds gathered for Red Dress Day in Montreal, on May 5th. A day to raise awareness for murdered and missing indigenous, women, girls and two spirit people.

The event was led by the Native Women’s Shelter and started at Cabot Square with speeches and music before taking to the streets.

Those who participated are calling for more government action when it comes to MMIWG2ST+.
